Jean-Michel Pilc, one of the world’s most exciting jazz pianists is spearheading a special concert at Le Ministère as part of the Off Jazz Festival of Montreal on October 10th, 2019. Within the context of the Improvisation Workshop Project (IWP), a research endeavor funded by Les Fonds de Recherche du Québec - Société et Culture (FRQSC), Pilc will be joined by fellow professors of the Schulich School of Music - some of Canada’s finest jazz musicians, Kevin Dean (trumpet) and Rémi Bolduc (alto saxophone). On this special occasion, they have invited jazz vocalist of international renown, Elisabeth Kontomanou from Sweden to join them on stage.
Accompanying musicians include: Claire Devlin (tenor sax), Pierre Mendola (flute), Ananda Suddath (guitar), Mike De Masi (bass) and Louis-Vincent Hamel (drums)
